Student Welfare Association
The welfare of the students is of utmost importance to any educational institution. To ensure the welfare of all its students, Don Bosco College, has established a Students’ Welfare Association (SWA). The SWA of Don Bosco College is not affiliated to any political party or student union or any such other association outside the college. It is constituted purely for the welfare of this institution and of its student-community in particular. All students of the college are members of the SWA by virtue of their admission to the college and during their period of study in the college. However, they elect a number of representatives to form a core group of office-bearers for a term according to the norms laid down in the Byelaws of the Student Welfare Associal of the College.
Among the most important functions of the SWA are the following:
- To develop social contacts and a spirit of fellow feeling among the students.
- To promote the social, cultural and intellectual development of the students.
- To assist the administration and faculty in organising co-curricular activities including sports, games, debates, study circles, seminars, Socials, NCC, NSS, Inter and Intra college events etc.
- To meet and interact with similar student bodies of other colleges to create synergy and enhance collaboration.
